Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting! I’m the author of eleven novels and two short stories. My latest novel, BOUND TO KILL, is on sale now. It’s a crime thriller which is set in southwest Scotland. The book is available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback and hardcover editions (depending on Amazon Marketplace location).

I’ve written stories throughout my life but my first thriller novel, STATION HELIX, was released in 2014. Most of my books are spy thrillers which draw from the British suspense novel tradition. Information about all my works can be found on this site. I also have a blog for articles on books, writing and other unrelated topics which interest me.

I am a former police officer and police trainer. I hold a scuba instructor qualification. My background helps inform certain aspects of my books. I always strive for authenticity – with creative licence – in my stories. David Morrell’s THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE ROSE hooked me on thrillers, but it took a long time to attempt one of my own.
